A VERY RARE GENTLEMAN’S
STAINLESS STEEL YEMA RALLYE "FORMICA" CHRONOGRAPH WRIST WATCH CIRCA 1970 Yema Rallye with its incredible
sandwich dial that incorporate a formica layer. This is exactly the type
of aesthetic we would expect from the dashboard of a sportscar straight
from that decade: luminous inlaid silver
batons & hands, recessed centre with chequered flags & two silver
registers recording minutes & continuous seconds, date aperture, inner
bezel with seconds tracking. It’s powered by a Valjoux
movement, here the caliber 7734, which allows for that unusual date
window at six o'clock, also framed in attractive fake wood. The 39mm diameter is another nice
surprise, and the watch comes with the bakelite tachymeter bezel that
you would expect from its name. Condition report: Case: unpolished, minor signs of
wear |
