Zenith Defy vintage diver's watch - reference 01.1070290 with a so called octagonal “Miura” case. The name Defy means "challenge" from the French (défi). Zenith wanted to point out the robustness of this watch.
The present watch is from the early 1970s. The blue sunburst dial shows some lovely aging around the center- many dials of this model are aged badly, hard to find a perfect one in original condition.
Mint ones  appear to have restored dials or service dials.

The silver inner ring has been preserved without any flaws, the lume of hour indications is complete and shows a creamy yellow.
The lume of the minute hand is a bit different in color but Tritium lume as well. Dial is protected by a hardened mineral glass with shows minimal signs of wear.

The stainless steel case of this 50 year old watch has sharp edges, it has been never polished,
still in original condition. The reference number on the case back is clearly visible.

Another Zenith-typical feature is the position of the screwed crown and the date between 4 and 5 o'clock. The movement caliber 2562 with an automatic winding runs flawlessly in all functions. Crown is original - not a replacement!

The original Gay Frères stainless steel bracelet completes this offer. Nowadays these ladder bracelets are as rare as the vintage watches which they accomponied in those early years. It fits to a 20cm wrist.
