Certina DS Diver  - United Arab Republic - Cross Dial – Automatic

This particular DS diver, reference 346.825, is one of of the rarest vintage diving watches, that
can be found on the market. It is all complete with original dial, hands, bezel, crown and GF bracelet. Very unique about this piece is the United Arab caseback logo, usually the caseback shows the turtle logo. Presumably this was specially made for the Syrian Armed Forces and I doubt another will pop up anytime soon.

SPECIALITIES:

The Certina DS line of waterproof watches was designed with a thick shock absorbing rubber case holder between the movement and the case to provide an extra level of shock protection -- thus the "Double Security" nomenclature. The present example is the second series of DS divers with interesting crosshair dial accented by Arabic numerals. The movement is Certina's own design and the original bracelet is from Gay Freres.
